The venues

Bergen runs on established banquet venues

Bergen weddings mostly happen in venues that run weddings professionally, week after week. That is an advantage: the timings are tight, the coordinator knows the room, and a supplier who slots into an existing run sheet is worth more than one who wants to redesign it.

We work from the venue coordinator's schedule rather than our own. If your wedding is closer to the river, Jersey City is the neighbouring page.

  • Ridgewood, Englewood and Tenafly: country clubs and estates.
  • Fort Lee and Edgewater: high-rise venues with skyline views.
  • Hackensack, Teaneck and Paramus: established banquet halls.

Two traditions

A county where the guest list often spans two continents

Bergen holds some of the largest Korean, Colombian and Middle Eastern communities in the state, and its weddings usually reflect that in the same room. The music is where that either unites the floor or splits it.

An instrumental line has no language to pick a side with. We build each block around who is actually on the floor at that hour, rather than around a single fixed setlist.

Working with the venue

A supplier who fits the run sheet is worth more than one who fights it

Established venues run to the minute, and most problems with live music there come from a supplier arriving with a plan the coordinator has never seen. We ask for the run sheet first and build inside it.

The logistics lead talks to the venue coordinator directly, so the couple and the planner never become the messenger between two suppliers.

  • Load-in window and access agreed with the venue in advance.
  • House sound and power confirmed before the day.
  • Formats available: Sax Ambiental and Electro-Sax.

Frequently asked

What couples ask about weddings in Bergen

Three questions specific to the county’s banquet venues and country clubs.

Do you already work with venues in Bergen County?

Regularly. Most of the county's weddings run through a set of established banquet venues and country clubs, and we work from their coordinator's run sheet rather than proposing our own. If you tell us the venue when you ask for the quote, we can usually tell you straight away what the room allows.

Which towns are covered without a travel charge?

The whole county sits inside our direct area: Ridgewood, Englewood, Tenafly, Fort Lee, Edgewater, Hackensack, Teaneck, Paramus and the towns around them. Bergen is one of our two strongest coverage zones in New Jersey, which is why there is no surcharge across it.

Can the repertoire cover more than one culture in the same night?

That is the normal request here. A saxophone is instrumental, so no part of the guest list is excluded by the lyrics, and the block can lean toward whichever catalogue is on the floor at that point. We agree the balance in advance rather than reading it on the night.
